The hotel and the restaurant Wannee are run by students of the Hotel Management School NHL Stenden under supervision of industry experts, giving them a chance to put theory into practice. With the student's professional approach and motivation the concept is a huge win - and often a surprise - for the guests, who would not guess that their stay has been managed and serviced by students. The three main pillars of the hotel concept are Comfort, Sustainability & Innovation.
The hotel was carefully renovated in 2020 and offers 36 fully equipped rooms, a spacious meeting and conference area for up to 265 people, a bar and its own restaurant Wannee. Clean design, natural materials and modern structures are combined with retro style, bold colours and charming details throughout the hotel. Sustainability has been a focus in the Notiz Hotel for many years, it received the Golden Green Key Award for the ninth time in a row. Carefully sourced local and ecological products from coffee to chocoalte, eco-certified cotton linen and package-free breakfast are just some of the measures in place. The restaurant Wannee follows the 'Dutch Cuisine' concept, with the dishes consisting of 80% seasonal vegetables and just 20% meat or fish. A conscious stay without compromise!
